What we do with your data.

BitHive IT is a digital engineering studio based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. For the purposes of data protection law we are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us any time at contact@bithiveit.com.

We collect only what you choose to enter into the contact form on this site:

• Your name and email address (both required, so we can reply).
• Your company name, if you provide it.
• The service categories and budget range you select, and the description of your project.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal data — health information, government identifiers, payment card numbers, or anything similar. Please keep it out of the message field.

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no advertising or social tracking pixels. Fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third-party font CDN. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser user agent) as a normal part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse.

We use your submission for exactly one purpose: to read your enquiry and respond to it, and to carry on that conversation if it turns into a project. Under the UK/EU GDPR our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries directed at us, and — once we are discussing an engagement — taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we will not add you to a marketing list off the back of an enquiry.

Contact form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form relay service acting as our processor. They handle the message in transit; their privacy policy covers that step. Once delivered, your message lives in our email system.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else. We would disclose it only if legally compelled to.

We operate from Bangladesh and work with clients worldwide, so your data may be processed outside your home country — including outside the UK/EEA. Where we transfer personal data out of the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards, in practice standard contractual clauses offered by the providers we use.

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 24 months. If we do work together, we keep project correspondence for the life of the engagement plus 6 years, which is the ordinary retention period for business and tax records. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

If you are in the UK or EEA, the GDPR gives you the right to access a copy of your data, correct it if it is wrong, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive it in a portable format. Similar rights exist under other privacy laws, and we apply this policy to everyone who contacts us regardless of where they live.

To exercise any of these, email contact@bithiveit.com. We will respond within 30 days, and there is no charge. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. Access to the inbox that receives them is limited to the people at BitHive IT who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use your judgement about what you put in a first message to a company you have not worked with yet.

If we change how we handle data — a new tool, a new purpose — we will update this page and move the date at the top. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest signal.
